In the future, chalIenges for producing enough rice to feed the ever increasing Indonesian population; however, are even greater, which require more productive and ecologically friendly technology. In line with the Council for Partnership on Rice Research in Asia (CORRA) and IRRI Board of Trustees meetings, an International Rice Conference, organized jointly between Indonesia and IRRI, was held in Bali from 12-16 September 2005.
